View Full Tract ListYesterday the Israelis opened up the gates of hell. Their apparent initial success apparently caused President Trump to take credit for knowing about this attack for a long time. The president even noted that the attack took place the day after his 60-day deadline ended. That means the US approved of it and helped coordinate the attack.
But today Iran struck back, raining a hundred missiles on Tel Aviv, Haifa, and other even the Dimona nuclear site. The big oil refinery in Haifa was obliterated. The Iranians even shot down two F-35 jets (made in USA). Iran says it captured one of the pilots—a woman. The Israelis deny this, but if Iran can post pictures of the pilot, then we will know for sure.

Israel’s economy was already severely strained prior to the attack. We can only wonder if their economy will now collapse completely. My guess is that the US will rush more money to them to prop up their economy at American taxpayer expense.
Attacks on nuclear facilities is, essentially, a nuclear war, however limited it may seem to be. It was a “Pearl Harbor” style attack on Iran. I don’t think it will end well for them. When the Israelis decided in the 1960’s to develop their own nuclear weapons, it started an inevitable nuclear arms race. I remember commentators discussing this 50 years ago, saying that it was only a matter of time. Well, that time has come. Israel is not the only country with the right to defend itself.
The Israeli attack marked the opening round of the prophesied war that will result in the total destruction of Jerusalem and the abandonment of the entire land of Israel. I believe we are now on a final countdown. Jeremiah 19:10, 11 and Isaiah 29:1-6 focus primarily on the destruction of Jerusalem itself, but this missile exchange is the prelude. There is no way to know precisely how long the prelude will play out, but at the current rate of acceleration, it may not take very long.
