In any war, both sides try to control the narrative through propaganda, either by exaggerating casualty figures on the other side or by suppressing the real news from being reported.
It is interesting, then, that both Iran and Israel are claiming about the same number of casualties. However, the Israeli government is forbidding newscasters from broadcasting scenes of destruction, especially scenes from its military bases that are being hit by Iranian missiles.
One tell-tale sign, however, cannot be ignored. PM Netanyahu is urgently appealing to Donald Trump to enter the war on its side. This shows that the war is not going well for Israel. Both sides are pounding each other’s cities, but Israel has only one-tenth the population of Iran, so it feels each death more painfully.

It is ironic that one has to listen to appeals for money from Christian Zionist organizations in order to see many of the scenes of destruction. “Israel under attack,” the headlines scream, without telling us that the Israelis attacked Iran first. Now we are supposed to pay for this Israeli decision to start the war.
As for Trump, it is nearly impossible to know where he stands on anything. His tactic is to say one thing yesterday and the opposite today. War tactic? Art of the deal? Who can say? We see that he is sending carrier groups to the Persian Gulf area, along with dozens of fuel tankers for military jets to refuel. He is calling on Iranians to evacuate Tehran, implying that there may be an all-out bombing campaign against the city soon. (Tehran is larger than New York City. Where would they go?)
Meanwhile, the Israelis continue their specious claim that they are just defending themselves. Trump presents his ultimatum, calling it a “deal.” His deal is for Iran to “surrender” and leave the country in the merciless hands of the Israelis and Americans. Trump was reminded by a reporter that Tulsi Gabbard last March had announced in public that Iran was NOT developing a nuclear weapon. She was just repeating the assessments of the security agencies since 2003.
The Iranian Supreme Leader long ago issued a prohibition against putting together nuclear weapons. The UN nuclear weapons inspectors have consistently verified this, but Trump has decided to adopt the Israeli position. The Israelis have been warning of an impending nuclear weapon in Iran’s hands since 1984, hoping to create enough fear to justify destroying Iran.
They said the same about Iraq’s “weapons of mass destruction,” which turned out to be a lie. Yet once a war breaks out, you can’t easily undo it. There is one source who claims that the aircraft carrier Nimitz, being the oldest in America’s navy, is being sent to the Persian Gulf in order to allow the Israelis to destroy it and blame Iran. America loves its false flags, as seen in most of our wars in the past century. The same source, however, believes that Trump will then expose the Israelis as having sunk the Nimitz in order to turn against them. Is Trump setting up Netanyahu for a defeat? Does he remember the USS Liberty when the Israelis tried to sink it in 1967?
Trump is so full of contradictory signals that it is impossible for an onlooker to know the truth. We will just have to wait and see if Trump is a peace president or a warmonger. All we really know is what the Scriptures prophesy--assuming we understand those prophecies at all.
Here is a fairly short video interview of former British diplomat Alastair Crooke.
