We have taken the five ministry gifts (Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Prophets, and Apostles) as an outline for the courses of Bible study in this School.
Our purpose is to equip those who are ministering with a knowledge of the Word, so that each will be more effective in fulfilling his or her calling.
Learn MoreI nearly met David about 1980 when we both lived in the Phoenix, AZ area. We had friends and acquaintances in common. I had been teaching (openly) the Restoration of All Things for a few years prior to 1980, and, unknown to me, God had also independently revealed this to David.
The friends we had in common opposed this teaching, and it appears that they did not want to link me with David so as to encourage him in this departure from mainstream teaching. Shortly after this, as most of you know, I began my wilderness journey from 1981-1993. I finally met David and Sherry at a meeting just south of Seattle, WA in July 1993. That was the start of our friendship.
Later that same year we moved to Seattle and lived there from 1993-1996 before
moving to our present location in Minneapolis. Some years later (2004), David and Sherry moved their family to Iowa and, after a year, bought a house near Rockford, IL. This was only a 5-hour drive from Minneapolis, so we were able to get together occasionally, especially when we were driving to conferences and meetings out East.
On one such visit in 2007, the Lord worked circumstances that made it abundantly evident that David should join the GKM team and become our technical director for all computer matters. He then set about building a new website that was both secure and practical. (A few years later, he and his family built another website on newer technology. It is the site that we now have online.)
The website gave me a platform to write weblogs, including many commentaries on the books of the Bible. Without the site, our outreach would have been very limited, and the books would have had no professional covers.
Through the years, our children essentially grew up together. Other friends were somewhat few, because our children were homeschooled. So, they were best friends growing up and remain close today.
With help from the Weaver family, we were able to develop the equipment and skills that added much to the conferences that we hosted. We were able to record and even to livestream the messages around the world, except, of course, for those speakers who did not want to be livestreamed. The GKM ministry was greatly enhanced over the years, as the entire Weaver family worked together with us (and our two youngest sons) to spread the Gospel of the Kingdom.
On Memorial Day, May 26, 2025, the Lord unexpectedly called David home. All of us miss him greatly, and I want to express my gratitude to God for allowing him and his family to be part of the GKM family for many years.
Dr. Stephen Jones has been writing blog posts since 2005 on a variety of topics from Bible Studies to World News, and he has been writing books since 1992. Dr. Jones' most important writings came after God brought him back into the full-time ministry in 1991. It is here that all his earlier years of searching the Scriptures began to come into clear focus. He combines a knowledge of the Old and New Testaments with a personal revelation of God that began and developed during the "wilderness" period of his life, which he often refers to as God's True Bible College...
