We have taken the five ministry gifts (Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Prophets, and Apostles) as an outline for the courses of Bible study in this School.
Our purpose is to equip those who are ministering with a knowledge of the Word, so that each will be more effective in fulfilling his or her calling.
Learn MoreThere is a boulder made of basalt in New Mexico which has written on it the Ten Commandments. The letters are paleo-Hebrew in the style that archeologists have seen in Judea as early as 500 B.C. It came to be known as the Los Lunas inscription.

In 1871 some Indians showed this boulder to Franz Huning, a rancher from New Mexico. The Indians could not read the writing, but they told Franz that the rock had been there long before their tribes had come to the area.
The rock itself was near the bottom of a hill, having fallen down long ago from higher up. At the top of the hill are more ancient stone structures with more Hebrew inscriptions. One reads, “our Mighty One,” a reference, no doubt, to the God of Israel.
On one of our trips, our family visited the site nearly 30 years ago, having been given permission from the ranchers to follow the trail and see the inscription and to take photos. This is truly a valuable archeological site, but the government has done nothing to try to preserve it or protect it in any way. It just sits as a silent witness near the bottom of a hill on someone’s ranch.
Obviously, a group of Israelites from the distant past had been here long before the birth of Christ. These were people who knew (and valued) the Ten Commandments. Who they were and where they went is unknown.
I first learned of this inscription in 1980 from a Cherokee woman, who informed me that the Cherokee had the Ten Commandments long before the Europeans arrived in North America, bringing Bibles with them. It took me nearly two decades to get the opportunity to see it for myself, but it was a moment that I treasure to this day.
Dr. Stephen Jones has been writing blog posts since 2005 on a variety of topics from Bible Studies to World News, and he has been writing books since 1992. Dr. Jones' most important writings came after God brought him back into the full-time ministry in 1991. It is here that all his earlier years of searching the Scriptures began to come into clear focus. He combines a knowledge of the Old and New Testaments with a personal revelation of God that began and developed during the "wilderness" period of his life, which he often refers to as God's True Bible College...
