View Full Tract ListToday President Trump announced that the impending US attack on Iran’s power plants has been put on hold for the next five days. He claims that Iran contacted him and wanted to negotiate. Personally, I think that given the US practice of attacking during negotiations (last June and again in February), it is highly improbable that Iran would ever trust the US to negotiate in good faith ever again. At any rate, Iran has officially denied that any negotiations are taking place, either direct or indirect.
If anything, Trump’s announcement of negotiations will be taken in Iran as a signal for another sneak attack, which Trump himself likened to “Pearl Harbor” in his talk with the Japanese prime minister the other day. No doubt Iran is now on high alert.
Yet this is still good news, because it indicates that Trump is having second thoughts about giving Iran a motive to destroy the power structure and the desalinization plants in the entire Gulf region—a disaster that would essentially force their entire populations to leave the country immediately. Such a disaster would be catastrophic, and Iran has already proven that its non-existent missiles are capable of evading the non-existent defense missiles guarding the Gulf States and the Israeli state itself.
This may still take a few more twists and turns, of course, but I will take this as a symptom of our victory over the Prince of Persia and his seven demonic princes over America, which we overthrew by March 24, 2001. (This was also when America was granted a divorce from the golden calves, if you recall from chapter 29 of The Wars of the Lord.)
