View Full Tract ListI believe that the war against Iran is really being motivated by the Israeli desire for an excuse to bomb the al-Aqsa mosque on the temple site. They want to build the counterfeit “third temple” in order to prepare the way for the coming of the false Jewish messiah.
It seems that Tucker Carlson has figured this out as well. He suspects that the Israelis will engineer a false flag operation by sending a missile to the temple mount and then blaming the Iranians for doing this—in order to cause a Sunni-Shia religious conflict. This is quite probable.

I have believed this for decades. In checking my weblogs, I think the first time I mentioned it was in 2017 in a comment on Donald Trump’s decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem. It is here:

“It is probable that Trump’s decision will spark a new Intifada, and the Israelis will use it as an excuse to blow up the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem and replace it with their own temple. Since all of the materials have already been gathered, they could do this rather quickly. This would spark a wider war, of course.
“It is quite possible that the temple controversy itself will prove to be the cause of Isaiah’s prophecy to be fulfilled, regarding the manner of Jerusalem’s destruction. Whereas Jeremiah 19:10, 11 gives us the fact that Jerusalem will be destroyed so completely that it will never again be repaired (rebuilt), Isaiah 29:1-8 gives us a description of a nuclear disaster.”

This plan is an attempt to break the prophetic type by reconstructing an Old Covenant Jewish temple.”
I suspect that when the Israeli and US forces begin to run out of defenses trying to shoot down the barrages of Iranian missiles that they will become desperate enough to take out the mosque. It seems that this is truly turning into a religious war, as Tucker believes.
