The US-Israeli attack begins February 28 with a direct attack on the house of the Supreme Leader. He sees it coming, but refuses to go to a bunker, preferring martyrdom than living out his final years as a decrepit old man. He is killed.
Trump announces the attack and warns Iran not to fight back.
Iran fights back, sending missiles into US bases in the region and into Israel.

The Iranian Constitution kicks in, and Khamenei is replaced by Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, a senior cleric and member of the Guardian Council. Ironically, Khamenei had issued 2 fatwas in past years forbidding Muslims to develop nuclear weapons. His replacement has argued that times have changed and that they must develop such weapons to counter Israeli nuclear program.
Trump calls on Iranians to join with Mossad forces to overthrow the government. Some believe Trump and go to the streets. The vast majority, however, view this in the same way that Catholics would view the Pope’s assassination. The death of Khamenei has served to unite most Iranians, rather than to divide them.
This has been just the opening round of longer war. What will happen when the US runs out of $3 million missiles to shoot down $500,000 Iranian drones? We will have to see how it plays out in the weeks to come.
